Ryoko Morooka was born in Fukuoka (Japan) and took up music professionally after having completed a course of studies in Chinese History at the University in Kyoto.

She moved to Germany to
study organ and church music at the Hochshule für Musik und
Theater in Hannover. Here she studied with the great master
Ulrich Bremsteller. She also studied with Harald Vogel, Ton
Koopman, Daniel Roth, Luigi-Ferdinand Tagliavini and Joris
Verdin.
Besides her work as organist at St.Paulus and Nazareth
Church in Hannover She is also a teacher at the
Musikhochschule Hannover. She regularly appears as a
concert organist in Germany, France, Italy, Scotland,
Portugal and Japan, where recently she was soloist in the
Poulanc Organ Concerto at the Takaoka Music Festival.
She is much in
demand and has collaborated with such ensembles as Musique
Novelle de Liege, Musica alta Ripa , Berlin -Bodensee
Concert Association, State Orchestra Halle, NDR Radio
Philharmonie Orchestra Hannover, Polish Chamber Choir,
Chorus Köln and the Rias Kammerchor Berlin.
Since 1995 she
has been a member of the ensemble "Baroque Brass of London"
and has made several concert tours with them. Ryoko has
also given numerous Trumpet and Organ recitals with the
English trumpeter David Staff.
